Fri., July 3 - Rainbows play at Mid-County Senior Center, 829 Bay Ave., Capitola, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., $8, every Friday. July 4th theme this Friday.

Sat., July 4 - Chautauqua Hall Dance Club meets at Chautauqua Hall, 16th & Central, Pacific Grove, $5 members and $10 guests entitles dancers to the dance lesson at 6 p.m. and dancing to recorded music 7 to 10 p.m., every Saturday. Live music on July 11.

Tues., July 7 - The Mary Ingram Trio Plus plays at Active Senior Center, Pajaro & Harvest, Salinas, $6, 7 to 9:30 p.m., every Tuesday. Great music, many mixers.

Thurs., July 9 - Western Dance at Oldemeyer Center on Hilby Ave., Seaside. $4 for lunch at 11:30 a.m., dancing to music of Mike Noonan 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Sat., July 11 - Wally's Swing World band plays at Chautauqua Hall, Pacific Grove, $10 members, $15 guests. Lesson at 6 pm, dancing 7 to 10 pm.

Sun., July 12 - Monterey Hot Jazz Society, 1 to 5 p.m. at the Moose Lodge on Cyn. Del Rey, Del Rey Oaks, $5 members, $6 members of other Jazz Clubs, $10 guests. Music by the Mission Gold Jazz Band and local Jammers. Food until 3 p.m. Second Sunday of the month.

Sun., July 19 - No dance at the SCO, Santa Cruz, in July. Dances will resume the 3rd Sunday in August.

Sun., July 26 - 10th Ave. Swing Band at Aromas Grange, corner of Rose Ave. & Bardue St., 2 to 4:30 p.m. Benefit for Grange, $5 donation. Wooden floor, good music, last Sunday of the month.
